Data Center Engineer

Data Center Engineers design, build, and operate large-scale data center facilities including power systems (PDUs, UPS, generators), cooling infrastructure (CRAC, chillers, free cooling), network infrastructure, and physical security systems meeting Uptime Institute Tier III or IV standards. They manage capacity planning, PUE optimization, and large capital improvement programs at hyperscale and enterprise data centers. The explosion in AI compute demand has made data center engineering one of the most competitive engineering specialties in 2025-2026.
