Mason (Macon)

Masons (Macons) construct and repair walls, floors, foundations, and structural elements using brick, concrete block, stone, and mortar in French residential and commercial construction. Along with other building trades, macons face critical labor shortages in France driven by an acute housing crisis, large social housing renovation programs, and insufficient new entrants through apprenticeship routes. The CAP Macon or Bac Pro TEB (Technicien en Execution du Batiment) are standard qualifications.
