Neuropsychologist

Neuropsychologists assess, diagnose, and treat cognitive, behavioral, and emotional conditions arising from neurological disorders, brain injuries, dementia, and psychiatric conditions using specialized neuropsychological testing batteries and evidence-based interventions. They provide expert consultation to neurology, neurosurgery, and psychiatry teams and conduct cognitive rehabilitation programs for patients with acquired brain injuries. PhD or PsyD level training with neuropsychology specialization and professional licensure are standard requirements for independent clinical practice.
