Production Chemists analyze and treat the produced fluids from oil and gas operations to prevent corrosion, scale, hydrate formation, and emulsion problems that reduce production efficiency and damage equipment. They conduct laboratory analyses, select and optimize chemical treatment programs, and work with production engineers and operations teams to maintain production chemistry at field locations. This specialized chemistry role is essential for maintaining production uptime at offshore and onshore oil and gas facilities.
