Waste Reduction Specialists develop and implement zero-waste programs for organizations, optimizing waste streams through source reduction, reuse, recycling, and composting initiatives while ensuring compliance with local and EU waste legislation. They conduct waste audits, train staff, track diversion rates, and manage relationships with waste contractors and recyclers. Growing demand as the EU targets 70% recycling of municipal solid waste and bans single-use plastics.
